At IREBS Executive Education, we place great importance not only on knowledge in the field of real estate but also on academic level professional education. Top ranking continuing education institution
In the 2012 university ranking carried out by Immobilien Zeitung, the IREBS Executive Education claimed the top position. The professional education academy received an "excellent" rating in the category "Overall Programme". Additionally, the IREBS Executive Education outperformed its competition in four distinct categories, encompassing practical relevance, course structure and organization, professors, and learning environment.

IREBS Executive Education is under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Tobias Just (FRICS), a renowned expert in the field of real estate. He holds the position of Chair of Real Estate Economics at the IREBS Institute of Regensburg University. IREBS International Real Estate Business School is one of the leading Real Estate Departments worldwide. Michael Zingel
Since February 2020, Mr. Michael Zingel has been responsible as the Commercial Managing Director and Programme Director for the areas of Sales and Controlling, as well as the organization and development of study programmes at the Academy. With over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry, Mr. Zingel brings extensive expertise to his position. Prior to joining the management team at the IREBS Executive Education, he held various roles, including transaction, restructuring, or strategic consulting, and relationship management for corporates as part of a comprehensive business development approach.

Company history of IREBS Executive Education
The IREBS Executive Education has a rich history in the field of real estate education, starting with the launch of its Contact Study Programme in Real Estate Economics in 1990. As a pioneer in the industry, the academy quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to professional development. Originally affiliated with EBS University, the academy relocated to the University of Regensburg in 2006. This move presented an opportunity for the academy to become an integral part of the renowned IREBS International Real Estate Business School and contribute to the development of one of the largest academic real estate centres worldwide. The academy's success is attributed to the unwavering support of esteemed real estate companies, passionate lecturers, and dedicated staff members who have all played a vital role in its growth and achievements.
Drivin Force behind the prestigious RICS
In Continental Europe, the IREBS Executive Education has been a driving force behind the world-leading professional association, RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), which sets high standards for expertise and professional ethics in the real estate industry. Additionally, as a member of the Corporate Governance Initiative, the Academy is committed to the “Principles of proper and fair management of the real estate industry” (Grundsätzen ordnungsmäßiger und lauterer Geschäftsführung der Immobilienwirtschaft). Upholding responsible and transparent corporate governance is of utmost importance, driven by our unwavering dedication to professionalism, fairness, and integrity in all our interactions with business partners.
Change in management after over 20 years
The Real Estate Academy was founded in 1990 by Prof. Dr. Karl-Werner Schulte and his wife, Dr. Gisela Schulte-Daxbök. On November 1, 2011, Prof. Dr. Tobias Just, former Head of Research at Deutsche Bank, assumed the role of Academic Director of the Real Estate Academy.
Renowned founders
Prof. Dr. Karl-Werner Schulte provided the real estate industry with its first academic home over the past decades, driving its professionalization forward through his teaching and research endeavors. Since 1994, Prof. Dr. Schulte has held the Chair of Real Estate Economics, establishing real estate economics as an interdisciplinary scientific discipline. His numerous past appointments reflect his national and international recognition. Moreover, he was appointed as an Honorary Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (HonRICS). Prof. Dr. Schulte has served as the President of the IRES International Real Estate Society, the ERES European Real Estate Society, and the gif Society of Property Researchers, which he co-founded.
In 2011, Prof. Dr. Karl-Werner Schulte was honored as an HonRICS during the Real Estate Symposium, being bestowed the title of "Honorary Member of the University of Regensburg." This represents the highest accolade bestowed by the University of Regensburg.
In 2013, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the European Real Estate Society (ERES), Prof. Schulte was granted the title of ERES Honorary Member for his outstanding contributions to the field of international real estate.
