The webcasts cover key topics in real estate finance and investment. They deal with real estate bonds as a financing instrument, open-ended real estate funds with a focus on structure, risk/return profile, and management, as well as real estate investment banking, which covers valuation methods, M&A, IPOs, and capital procurement. In addition, the functioning and structure of special funds, including open-ended and closed-ended special AIFs, are explained and the basics of financial mathematics are presented in an understandable way. The lecture provides comprehensive knowledge of real estate markets, relevant financial instruments, and the associated legal and practical aspects. The webcast “Fundamentals of Financial Mathematics” is included free of charge with the purchase of the complete package.

The lecture “Real estate bonds” deals with real estate bonds as a financing instrument on the real estate and capital markets. In addition to how real estate bonds work, their significance, structure, pricing, and rating are also covered.

After a brief overview of real estate investment banking, the lecture “Real Estate Investment Banking” covers applied valuation methods in the real estate capital market, M&A, IPOs, and capital procurement in the real estate capital markets.

The lecture “Special Funds” deals with the functioning and basic structure of special funds and their classification as investment products. The focus is on the history of this investment vehicle, the necessary legal foundations, and practical problems that arise in real life. Both open-ended special alternative investment funds (AIFs) and closed-ended special AIFs are covered.

The lecture “Closed-end real estate funds” deals with the functioning and basic structure of a “closed-end fund” and its classification as an investment product. The characteristics of closed-end funds as investment vehicles are presented in a practical manner. In particular, the interactions between the respective framework and market conditions and the use of closed-end funds are highlighted. In addition to various exercises, the basic principles of the structure, organization, and management of closed-end real estate funds are outlined.

Financial mathematics is an essential foundation, especially for the real estate industry. This is due in particular to the long-term time and planning horizons of real estate, which focus on the time value of money. The focus is on interest and annuity calculations, supplemented by credit and repayment as well as investment calculations (including complete financial plans).
