Overview

Sustainable lease in the real estate industry – Why green lease is essential.

Green lease have become an integral part of the real estate industry. It makes an important contribution to the decarbonisation of the building sector and offer win-win effects for tenants and landlords: tenants reduce their operating costs, while landlords increase market value and prevent regulatory risks. If landlords and tenants jointly include sustainable targets in the lease agreement, this can significantly improve both the ESG rating and the reputation and competitiveness of the property. The seminar will answer questions such as:

  • How can green lease clauses be integrated into existing lease agreements?
  • What legal issues can arise when incorporating green lease clauses?
  • What are the differences between asset classes?

Participants will learn how to implement sustainability targets in tenancy agreements in a legally compliant and practical manner – from contract drafting and negotiations, including negotiation guidelines, to successful implementation in the building.

Green Lease – Success factor for sustainable real estate

The seminar spans two days. The first day focuses on the basics of green leases, while the second day delves deeper into this topic, always with concrete examples of best practices from the field.  On both days, we place great emphasis on interactive exchange and discussion between our experienced lecturer and the participants.
